Eyeliner trends you cannot miss – Courtesy Fashion Week
October 10, 2017
Hello everyone, today I wanted to share a few inspiring eyeliner looks from the Fashion Week in Paris that is an easy upgrade to your regular eye makeup. These styles are very interesting and may take a while to perfect, but surely worth the try!
I have been keenly interested in makeup off late, to learn a few tricks to better my look. I love Smokey eyes from time to time, but after looking at the styles and the variations in makeup with a few cool strokes of color, I’m amazed how eye makeup can change the way you look. Dramatic eyes to a clean sleek look for a day at work! So much to learn still, I hope these looks inspire you as they did me.
So without much a do, let’s get on to the 5 eyeliner looks that are easy to replicate. Get ready to also try these along with your Diwali attire as well and I’ll show you how!
Dual winged eyeliner
We were already struggling enough to get the winged eyeliner right, what’s a double wing? I asked myself when I first heard of this trend, but when you see it, you understand why it’s called so. An improvised winged eyeliner look that isn’t very difficult if you’ve managed a winged eye look before.
HOW: All you need to do is first make a normal winged liner. Extend a small, sleek wing starting from the corner of your bottom lash line, just below the first flick. Highlight the inner corners of your eye in black liner, making you stand out!
To add depth to the eyelid, apply mascara and flaunt this pretty look! To get this look, I’ve used the Nykaa Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner and Maybelline Hyper Curl Mascara and for the lower eye lash I applied the Maybelline Colossal Kajal
This Look can be a replacement to the Smokey eye this festive season and I’m sure it’s here to stay, team it with a RED hot lip color and your sorted for a night out. ( I’m sporting the Sugar – Matte as hell crayon lipstick – Cherry Darling)
2. Feeling Blue
Another trend this season is to electrify your look with a mild change in your eyeliner shade. I am a big fan of the blue eyeliner, and sport one whenever I head to the beach. Ditch your black eyeliner ladies, because blue is here to make your eyes look so electric.
HOW: Take your favorite shade of blue eyeliner. draw a line from the inner corner of the eyelid to the other end (can also be a winged shape). For this look, I’ve used the coloressence eye pencil in blue. you can combine two electric shades of blue to create a very festive and shimmery look that is very sleek & electric. Blue looks great on all skin tones, and appears when applied in one thin stroke.
Inspired by the Colors of the festivities coming up, you can add a little glitter to dramatize this look even further.
3. Thicker lower lash line
Why only concentrate on the top lash line ? this is a dramatic look for a night out or create some definition for a dreamy look. Easy to carry and you can match a color close to your outfit to create the perfect match.
HOW: All you need to do is line your upper eyelids with a black liner, then take another eyeliner in your favorite color ( mine – blue) and line your bottom waterline with that color in a curved line. Make sure the lower lash line is thicker than the liner on top. Join the two colors at your outer and inner corners and there you have a perfect look.
4. Golden glitter
Want the perfect look for Diwali? This trend of layering your basic black liner is what you need, to slay the Gold trend this festive season.
For this look I’ve used the Colorbar I-Glide Eye Pencil Golden Glam
HOW: Make a sleek winged eyeliner look and layer it with a pretty golden colored eyeliner. Highlight the inner corners of your eye with gold eye shadow and voila, you’re ready to dazzle. This trend is so easy and clean, you’ll look absolutely gorgeous without having to work hard to get the look!
Give your black / brown liner some rest and add a dash of freshness with a white eyeliner. I’ve used the NYX Professional Makeup White Liquid Liner to get this look
HOW: A stroke along the upper lash line makes the eyes appear wider, skip applying the mascara otherwise you will end up looking like a ghost. You can also use this trick when you have not slept well. Apply it on the lower waterline to give your eyes a well-rested look. I prefer using the liner on the top eye line rather that the lower lash line . I also suggest you either opt for a line on the lower or top lash line as, less is more!
These easy 5 looks are apt for the festive season and I hope you enjoy trying these looks sometime. Do share your feedback by commenting below and we would love to hear about your experience as well.
